Founded in 1987, the Kitakyushu-based company presents their works throughout
Japan. Playwright and director Atsushi Tomari has been the leading figure
since 1995. He won the Japan Playwrights' Association Best New Playwright
Award with "Ecosys: Kazu-kun" (1997) and his "IRON"
was one of the Kishida Kunio Drama Award finalists in 2000. The scripts
deal with daily occurrences and the connection between people and society,
with emphasis on words (dialects, foreign languages), festive songs and
dances.
